You should start the fast in the morning right after you wake up, and continue it for three full days. This means that you will only consume juices, water and maybe some herbal tea. You will not be consuming any food during the fast. The juices you will drink should all be freshly prepared by yourself. This will help your body to respond more quickly to the juice, as the fruits and vegetables will be fresher. If you don’t have access to the right tools, you can always go to a good health food store and purchase some juice. But make sure they make it fresh while you are there. Don’t buy any pre-made bottled juice, as many of these have next to no nutrients in them.

We strongly recommmend that if you are going to go through the process of a juice fast, you go the whole nine yards and actually juice your own fruit and vegetables. Not only is it healthier but you will be suprised at how much fun juicing can be. I have done a bit of research aleady and recommended the ones that work well. Another little piece of advice, read all the juicer reviews carefully and don't cheap out because you get what you pay for. Like me you will probably end up returning the "cheap" juicer because what you save in money you will lose in time and hassle of a cheap juicer. Stick To Vegetable Juices If Possible

The amount of juice you drink every day will depend on how intense you want to cleanse your body. If you wish to really cleanse it thoroughly, you should drink rather large amounts of juice every day. If you are not looking to cleanse but to lose weight, we recommend drinking smaller amounts as you will be consuming less calories. But if you are drinking vegetable juices rather than fruit juices you can drink as much as you want, as your body will be getting an abundant supply of nutrients without all the sugar that’s in fruit juices.

A word on side-effects: If you are experiencing vomiting, extreme diarrhea or dizziness, you should stop the fast immediately and, if necessary, go see a physician. The same goes for people who are pregnant or nursing or who are diabetic: please avoid a juice fast. As you can see, there are many benefits from a 3-day juice fast. No matter what your goals, the fast is almost guaranteed to help you achieve it; so don’t hesitate and join the ranks of the juicers to start reaping the benefits and live a healthier life.
